Speaking at WeWork for The Academy of Entrepreneurs

Had fun speaking to a wonderful group of budding entrepreneurs at the Academy of Entrepreneurs at WeWork Pyrmont last night on personal branding, marketing and creating your own business! So many earnest, young and inspiring future entrepreneurs. Main points include:

• Find good mentors who ask the hard questions
• Have a plan with an end goal and measurable goal posts along the way
• Use SMART goals (smart, measurable, attiainable, results driven, timely)
• Know your market, competitors and industry
• Make decisions based on gut instinct - it does work
• Don’t assume knowledge about your customers, prove it
• Remember your personal brand is everything so manage and run it well
